Install Chrome Remote Desktop Host on OS X El Capitan

Struggling to install Chrome Remote Desktop Host on Mac OS X El Capitan?

After upgrading my virtual machine running Mac OS X to El Captian I noticed that Chrome Remote Desktop Host wasn’t installing successfully anymore.

Seems there’s a bug in the latest version and a working beta-installer can be downloaded from the following link. If you haven’t tried Chrome Remote Desktop you should really give it a try. It’s awesome!

That download allowed me to successfully install it under El Capitan. Unfortunately, it still fails when I try to access my Mac from my Chromebook. Wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

I haven’t tried to connect from a Chromebook, but I use it daily from my Windows machine without any issues. Does it throw any useful error message upon connecting?

Try using alternatives like on premise R-HUB remote support servers. It works well.
